Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is higher, to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the Service you confirm that you are not barred from doing so under any applicable law, and that you will comply with all laws that apply to you.

2. Your account

• You may create an account with an email address and password, or with Sign in with Apple.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account.
• The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.
• Do not share, sell, or transfer your account, and do not let anyone else use it.
• Tell us promptly at support@peekuin.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. What the Service does

Peekuin lets you enter a public Instagram username and view which accounts that profile has recently followed, in chronological order. You can save profiles to a watchlist, receive notifications when a saved profile follows someone new, and revisit past results from your activity history.

Peekuin does not require, request, or store Instagram passwords — yours or anyone else's — and never signs in to, posts from, or otherwise interacts with any Instagram account.

The Service works only with public Instagram accounts. Profiles set to private do not make their following activity publicly available, and Peekuin will not be able to return results for them.

4. Public data & no Instagram affiliation

Peekuin is an independent application. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Instagram is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.

Peekuin surfaces information that public Instagram profiles already make available to anyone. We do not guarantee that this information is complete, accurate, or current — it depends entirely on what the platform makes public at the time of a check, and platform behaviour can change without notice.

Results should be treated as informational only. They are not evidence, and they are not a substitute for a conversation with the person concerned.

5. Subscriptions & billing

• Peekuin is free to download. Some features require an active auto-renewable subscription. Plans start at $7.99 per month; exact pricing, currency, and available terms (weekly, monthly, or yearly) are shown in the app before you purchase.
• All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription covering the same period.
• We may change prices or plan structures. Existing subscribers will be given advance notice, and price changes take effect only at the start of a new billing period.

6. Refunds

Because Apple processes all purchases, Apple also handles all refunds. We cannot issue refunds directly.

To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Peekuin purchase, and submit a request. Apple's decision is final and is governed by Apple's own terms. Nothing here limits any statutory right of withdrawal or refund you may have under the consumer law of your country.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation.
• Use the Service to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, defame, or otherwise harm any person.
• Attempt to access private Instagram accounts, or to circumvent any privacy setting or access control.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service, or resell, sublicense, or redistribute its output.
• Share, sell, or otherwise transfer your account or subscription entitlement.
• Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or the infrastructure it runs on, or attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures.
• Use the Service in a way that violates the terms of any third-party platform, including Instagram.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

8. Responsible use

Peekuin is a tool for viewing publicly available information. How you use what you see is your responsibility.

You must not use the Service to monitor someone in a way that is abusive, coercive, or unlawful in your jurisdiction, and you must not use it as part of any pattern of stalking or harassment. If we become aware that an account is being used in this way, we will terminate it.

If you are experiencing abuse or feel unsafe, please contact local support services or law enforcement. Peekuin is not a safety tool and cannot help in an emergency.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including the Peekuin name, logo, mascot, interface design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by HEXACODES and protected by intellectual property law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from any part of the Service, or remove any proprietary notice from it.

All third-party names and marks referenced in the Service, including Instagram, belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

10. Data & privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you consent to the processing described there.

11. Availability & changes

We aim to keep the Service available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change, be added, or be withdrawn as the product develops or as external platforms change. Maintenance, outages, and updates may temporarily interrupt availability.

If we discontinue a paid feature entirely, we will give reasonable notice to affected subscribers.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement.

We make no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any Instagram follow data shown in the Service, nor that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HEXACODES and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or relationships, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service — whether based in contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HEXACODES and its officers, employees, and suppliers from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or of the rights of a third party.

15. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. Cancel any active subscription separately through Apple.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if your use poses a risk to other users or to the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

17. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Romania.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

These Terms are between you and HEXACODES only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

18. General

• Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
• Severability: if any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect and the unenforceable provision is applied to the maximum extent permitted.
• No waiver: our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
• Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Language: where these Terms are translated, the English version prevails in the event of a conflict.
